It is an important task for Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences to training innovative talents facing to science frontiers and national strategic demand during opening teaching. According to the characteristics of graduate students of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the teaching idea, teaching method and teaching effect of graduate teaching are discussed in the paper, combined with my own experience of teaching geological courses in recent years.
